For those of you suffering from attention deficit disorder, I will give today's review of Lincoln Center's Cymbeline in easily digestible sound bytes. These were the notes a jotted down directly after the performance while they were still fresh in my mind. Probably way more entertaining than a full, written out review anyway. Enjoy!
Beautiful, stylish production - great lighting
Cake - hot and endowed, AND could act
Plimpton - strong and moving, needs a better headshot
Cerveris - fake and unconvincing, insincere emotion
Cullum - appropriately impotent
Cloten - great comic idiot
Really weird ghost sequence
Last scene way too long
3 hours flew by
Phylicia Rashad weird tight-jawed Connecticut house wife accent
Why did Cerveris use a British accent? Other Americans didn't

ummm...HELLO. http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/7716/35621gymoviesfvdigyvye2.jpg
You guys saw a lot of opera this week. Lots of new shows or just catching up?
Actually only one opera - Cymbeline was Shakespeare and Glorious once was Off-broadway. Now that I have a little extra cash, we're seeing ALOT of shows. Hehe - I think we have at least a dozen plays, operas, and musicals on the schedule over the next 2 months. When are you coming to NYC to catch some shows?
Still shooting for a long vacation around Labor Day so I can see the US Open. It'll be a REAL visit, not a "holiday" visit.
